Welcome to KIKI*PEDIA!

If you are like me, you have your own vision for your own space.  I have always had a passion for home improvement. Some of us like to DIY, while others prefer to hire professionals.  I fall into the first category and subconsciously redesign many homes I pass by.  I re-visualize them by adding dormers, larger windows, and garage doors that make a statement while amping up curb appeal.  Inside, I mentally tear down walls, change interior paint colors, and repurpose rooms and furnishings.  Design is a personal venture, discovering and acquiring new insight along the way to apply to my own projects plus those of family, friends, and business. 

If you are like-minded, you realize that resources are vital to good design and inspiration.  And researching them is a time-consuming feat!  With various undertakings, I knew intrinsically what I wanted, but had a hard time finding “it” until I turned over hundreds of rocks.  As a result, I began tucking away information that made my DIY life much easier.  Which evolved into this website. 

KIKI*PEDIA is a tool to pass along facts and ideas and to share new (and old) concepts and sources.  It is meant to provide assistance and inspiration for your own design endeavors.  If you’re on a budget, you’ll realize that you don’t need to spend a bundle to obtain beautiful results.  And if you’re tired of fishing the internet, put this tool to work to streamline the process!
